February Half Term

There’s plenty on offer for families at The Museum of Somerset during February half term including the popular Castle Day.

Castle Day

Sunday 11 February, 10.00 am to 5.00 pm

The Taunton Garrison will be doing historical re-enactments

Inspired by Taunton’s 12th century castle the museum is holding a day of activities.

Young visitors can attend Knight School where they can learn to become a brave and noble knight. The Taunton Garrison will also be doing historical re-enactments based on the English Civil War.

Activities, crafts, dressing-up and more.

Costs £3 per person (age 3+) or £10 for a family

Colourful Fun

Throughout the week there will also be children’s activities inspired by the colourful art of Hans Schwarz which is on display at the museum until 3 March.

Colourful Portraits

Monday 12 to Friday 16 February, 10.30 am – 1.00 pm & 2.00 pm – 3.30 pm

Hands-on activities inspired by Schwarz’s portraits.

Cost £1 per child (ages 3-11.)
